Yorkshire Fish & Chips Information

Tucked away on 5084 State Hwy 49 in Harrisburg, NC, Kabab Place has quickly become a local favorite for those craving authentic Mediterranean flavors in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's the kind of place that makes you feel right at home, where the warm spices and rich aromas greet you as soon as you step inside. The menu is a delightful exploration of traditional kababs, shawarma, and a variety of other Mediterranean dishes that are both comforting and full of flavor.

One of the highlights here is their signature kababs. Whether you’re in the mood for beef, chicken, or lamb, each skewer is grilled to perfection with just the right amount of char. The meat is juicy and tender, and the seasoning is spot on-never overpowering, just enough to bring out the natural flavors. The Kabab Place special kebab platter comes with a side of fluffy rice and grilled vegetables, making for a satisfying meal that’s perfect for sharing.

For something a little lighter, their hummus and tabbouleh are fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. The hummus is smooth and creamy, served with soft pita bread that practically melts in your mouth. The tabbouleh, bright with fresh herbs and a tangy lemon dressing, offers a refreshing contrast to the richness of the grilled meats.

What People's Say About Place

It's wonderful. Fast service, great food, good prices for a hearty meal, and malt vinegar on the tables. They cook it to order and the fish comes so hot it's hard to hold onto, but all the of us were trying to get our piece to eat it while it was still steaming. Their cod is flaky, firm, juicy and tender and coated in a magical tempura like batter that is super crunchy. The other seafood in the combo was good, too, but the fish was great. The clam strips were sweet and chewy crisp the way we love them. I might get a full order next time with just the fish instead of the combo. It's amazing when a place really knows what they're doing. The fries are solid as well, but the best part are the handful of crunchies from the batter that gets loose from the fish in the fryer. So glad they add those to the bottom of each serving. It reminded me of Japan, where the tempura crunchies are something you can use to top udon bowls. They give you plenty of tartar sauce and cocktail sauce, and there's also ketchup on the tables for those that need more than vinegar on their chips. They also have glass bottle Coke and Fanta for those that love those in addition to the regular fountain drinks. A nice touch.

Best fish and chips in town! Nice portions, crispy batter. Fried mushrooms a must have. The coleslaw was tangy and sweet just the way I like it. I ordered the half order of fish and chips. Which comes with 1 battered and deep fried fish, fries and some crispy. This place gets busy fast but the staff handled that professionally! Atmosphere is a little dated but some of us actually enjoy that. Service was quick and every entree was made to order. Menu was not overwhelming. I definitely will be back.

Yorkshire Fish and Chips has been around for years — and it shows in every bite! They truly know how to make authentic, perfectly crispy fish and chips. The quality, flavor, and consistency are absolutely amazing. You can tell they take pride in what they do. If you’re craving real-deal fish and chips, give them a try — you won’t be disappointed!

I have never seen 2 employees work so hard and serve so many people so well so fast. One working to greet/order/cash out and the other working to cook fish-n-chips like his life depended on it. Sometimes simple is best, and that is what you get here. Simple recipes and simple processing, combined to make simply delicious seafood. Go, just go and try it for yourself and you will see what I mean.

I love the whole in the wall type experience, service was great but it’s just counter service so with all respect the bar is fairly low. We got the combo with fish, clams & shrimp with small clam chowder, green beans & shrooms. Shrimp was best- juicy and perfect fry, clams were crunchy & fish was good but the fry was way too oily. Clam chowder was magic & shrooms were so good with the small being perfect to share for 2. I loved the green beans & size/price point was perfect for the small. Next time if I go, Ill just get the biggest bowl of chowder with 1 piece of fish.

As a UK person on my US fish n chip journey I can definitely recommend it here! The batter is crispy, well seasoned and cooked well, fish was slightly overcooked but very nice nonetheless. Chips were nicely cooked, the only thing to note was there is not many chips so would recommend getting an extra portion. Very nice malt vinegar, not watered down like some places. To make it perfect it would have been nice to eat the fish as a whole fillet instead of strips, where it cooks more evenly, but this is being pedantic and it's not going to put me off coming again. Oh and a nice surprise there were fish bits in the bottom of the box! Never had that here! Best fish n chips in Colorado so far! Also tried to ask for a Yorkshire discount as that was where I was born, but unfortunately it was a no

Crunchy and delicious, this is the best fish and chips spot in the Denver metro area. This spot is a local icon and my parents have been going here since before I was born. The food is homey and sure to put a smile on your face.

Let's start with the food. The fish is big. 2 pieces was enough. The fries are also decent, I ordered the coleslaw and wasn't disappointed. We also ordered an order of the clams, and they are just strips and not the bellies. For the price it would have been nice, however the clams were not dried out so that is a plus. The dining area is simple and wasn't busy when we went at 11:30. Overall a bit pricey for the food but bad. Would eat here again if I was in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way.
